Positions Available:
Secretary
The Secretary is an executive on the Board and the custodian of records. Key responsibilities include managing all board documents and communication processes, preparing meeting agendas, reserving conference rooms and virtual meetings, taking meeting minutes, voting on key initiatives and ensuring a quorum for board meetings. This role involves updating, distributing, and filing board legal and financial documents such as registration at the Secretary of State, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Conflict of Interest forms, and meeting minutes. Additionally, the Secretary will monitor the organization’s inquiry email and handle the collection and distribution of board mail. Strong organizational and communication skills are required to effectively manage documentation, meetings, and board correspondence.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is an executive on the Board and is crucial in overseeing the financial health of our organization. This position requires strong financial management skills and a commitment to transparency and accountability. The Treasurer will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure effective financial planning and reporting.
Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate and current financial records, overseeing all financial transactions and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations; managing payments to vendors and volunteer reimbursements timely; and preparing the annual budget in collaboration with the Board. At each board meeting, the treasurer is responsible to provide financial reports and all fundraising activities. Furthermore, the treasurer is to help ensure all necessary tax filings and other financial obligations are met with the accountant and the President. Previous experience in financial management, accounting, or a related field is much appreciated.
Marketing Director
The Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing all marketing strategies to support the organization’s mission and growth. This role includes managing the organization’s online presence (website, social media platforms like LinkedIn), creating and sending e-blasts, and producing creative content such as marketing collateral, videos, and promotional materials. The Marketing Director will either execute these tasks directly or work with external suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, creativity, and project management skills, with the ability to drive brand awareness and engagement.
Director of Educational Programs
The Director of Educational Programs is responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of all regular educational initiatives, including webinars and in-person educational events. Key responsibilities include topic development, speaker solicitation and qualification, and program planning. The Director manages the entire event lifecycle, from coordinating logistics and maintaining registration lists to communicating with speakers and attendees. This role also includes handling administrative tasks such as tracking attendance, managing post-event surveys, and analyzing participant feedback to improve future programming. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills are essential to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality educational content.
