Synopsis: Change is the only Constant – Leading through Uncertainty

The many events of the last two plus years have necessitated employees, business functions and regulators to think and lead differently.  We’ve all had to react to changing guidelines, business pivots and lead through situations very different from those we’ve taken for granted in life before the global impacts of Covid-19.

Decision-making with confidence based on leveraging past experiences and predictable outcomes is no longer the norm. We need to focus on risk-based decision making in a still evolving landscape.  Many of us also transitioned from managing office-based in-person teams to leadership of fully remote and /or hybrid staffing schedules and workplaces.

Adapting to and managing through these major shifts has not been easy, personally nor professionally, and will continue to be a challenge for the near future.  However, we cannot simply stop and wait for our lives to normalize. We need to continue to function effectively, to make business decisions and to lead with purpose every single day.

To successfully navigate this “new normal” (which may still change tomorrow or the next day), we need to adapt, learn new skills, and utilize new tools to be effective and achieve personal and professional goals.

This seminar will present three critical elements that are at the core of effective leadership:

  • Mindset – How we show up every day, matters
  • Decision-making – Do’s and Don’ts
  • Self-Care – Why it is important and how to prioritize it

Please join OCRA member Neelu Gibson, Worldwide VP Regulatory Affairs, Medical Management Solutions at BD Medical as she discusses challenges and strategies for successful navigation of an ever-changing landscape and leading with confidence through times of uncertainty.
